In a Facebook post, Itumbi says there is no leaving and entrance to 'anyone' at the State House to avoid bringing the virus to the house on the hill.

"The impact of Covid-19 on State House is disruptive and untold. Media sources, newsroom laziness or maybe just not worth telling. But that is why we have social media. No leaving and no entrance to everyone including the newbie Mutahi Ngunyi, all locked out. Only the over 200 people who live there are present. The rest make huko nje,” Mr Itumbi said.

Mr Itumbi said due to the pandemic, staff at State House have been scattered in different offices.

For instance, State House comptroller and Head of Public Service have been dispatched to the office of the President at Harambee House.

"That is now their operations base, other staffs such as accountants and the administration have been dispatched to National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) where they are working from,” revealed Mr Itumbi in a thread.
