John Waluke and his co-accussed wereGrace Wakhungu were found guilty of defrauding National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) more than sh300 million shillings.

According to Chief magistrate Elizabeth Juma at the Milimali law court, the two could not continue being out on bond because the case had been determined 'with no reasonable doubt.'

“Since the status of the accused has changed, their innocence has been determined after the court established they are guilty they cannot continue to be out on bond,” she ruled.

His defence led by renowned lawyer Cliff Ombeta has further pleaded to the court that the MP has been a good person all along and it was the first time to commit a crime.

He also noted that his service to the society and serving in the army should be considered in his sentencing.

''He (John Waluke) still has some dignity to maintain as a result of being an MP. He has not been arrested for any offense, he is clean until this incidence. Because of what he has done for this society, for being in the army, please consider hi,''said Ombeta.
