According to Murkomen who spoke in front of Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, the Senator has warned the Senate to be cautious not to tarnish the name of the house[Senate] for allegedly saving the embattled Kirinyaga Governor for political gains.
Murkomen has asserted that as the Senators, they should be consistent so that Kenyans should not accuse the Senate being a house of cleansing those found corrupt.
"We must be consistent so that people will not accuse the Senate of being sanitizers. I want to tell the people of Kirinyaga to take heart, we know what happened" Murkomen asserted.
Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has too supported Murkomen's remarks informing that her only hope is that as they proceed with their role as Senators if there are more impeachments then the Senate should be compatible when solving the impeachment cases since Kenyans are also watching what as the leaders they are doing. "My only hope is that as we go forward if there are more impeachments let the house be consistent. People are watching what we are doing as a Senate and not what we are saying," Kihika warned.
Earlier Murkomen had alerted that Governor Waiguru would go nowhere putting in that they shouldn't wait for the Committee decision since the case had already been decided.
"Senate has sanitised and cleared the Governor of Kirinyaga. It’s done. Don’t wait for the Committee’s decision. To the people of Kirinyaga, I am sorry we did our best but it is finished. Your fight for accountability has been frustrated by Senate don’t give up use other avenues," Murkomen earlier penned in his social media.
