United republic of Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli's government has come out once again to clarify on reports that his country snubbed neighboring Kenya and opted to vote for Djibouti in a recent crucial vote for a non permanent membership Position in the United Nations security council

Through his minister for foreign affairs Prof Palamagamba Kabudi, the Tanzanian government says that not only did it vote for kenya in the crucial poll but it also made attempts to campaign for its neighbor to ensure that Kenya wins the seat in a report by Kwanza TV

Roughly translating to: "The minister for foreign affairs Prof Palamagamba Kabudi has said that not only did Tanzania Vote for Kenya's bid to be a non permanent member in the United Nations security council elections but also campaigned for it to ensure it wins the elections," the minister is quoted by Kwanza TV

Reports that Tanzania had snubbed Kenya and voted for Djibouti had caused uproar among citizens in both the two East african countries with some wondering why Tanzania would go against its East African neighbor

Long ago, in several occasions, unwarranted signals were sent by Tanzanian authority against Kenyan government in different spheres besides UNSC Vote.
