The man was found inside his house with a deep cut on his head, which led police to conclude that he was murdered.

Makueni Count police commander Joseph ole Napeiyang confirming the incident said that the body of the man was found in a house used as a store in the family.

Police arrested the man’s son aged 26 as the first and key suspect in the murder case believed to have been executed a few days ago.

Days later, the area chief was forced to lead a group of Nyumba Kumi leaders to the homestead to launch investigations on the matter.

“When we arrived, the young man told us that his father went missing, but he was not giving details. We started searching, and in one room, we noticed that flies coming out, we contacted the police who helped us break-in, and we found the man lying dead. He had two deep cuts on his head,” Chief Mulili said.

Chief Mulili noted that the son had lived having differences with his father, and that is why he was picked as the first suspect.

He added that he had solved differences when the boy had domestic wrangles with his father, but he does not understand how it got to taking of a life.
