Moses Kuria Lands in Trouble After Calling on the Government to Open Worship Places

Gatundu South Constituency MP Moses Kuria landed in disquiet momentarily after making a call to the government to appraise reopening of places be of worship amidst covid-19, just as any other places allowed to open again.

Churches were ordered to close as soon as Coronavirus descended in the country, so as to foreshorten interaction rate of people, in order to minimise the the spread of the deadly disease.

Kuria made this pronouncement after a the Ministry of Health granted the solicitation of reopening golfing pastimes, after longer periods of closure due to covid-19 pandemic.

Kuria made the call on his Facebook social media page, voicing the government to also open places of worship.

"Open up the places of worship now. Unless you are waiting for a letter from God/Allah," he penned.

With this entreaty, Kuria landed in trouble with Kenyans online who reacted differently, as others sounded him off, saying that he just an opportunist who wants churches be reopen so as to create campaign grounds, and not to go for reverence.
