Though the President reassured Kenyans that he has nothing against his Deputy, William Ruto has not relaxed an inch. The Deputy has received major backups including former Machakos senator, Johnstone Muthama. Apart from launching his own party, in making sure he clings to power, details have emerged on how the deputy is likely to strategise to accomplish his dreams.

According to David Kiprono, the deputy president will use the new Democrats to spearhead the next general election. Speaking to the Nation, the former Marakwet West Member of Parliament revealed that Ruto must have a strategy admist the increasing tension within Jubilee that is likely to dump him in a dark corner.

Reports from the Nation disclosed that Ruto's close allies are in a plan to ditch the ruling party after dissolving the Parliament. The lieutenants are also keen not to lose their positions if they decide to act this early. In similar reports, Deputy President William Ruto's diehards have also revealed that the Deputy President might alternatively opt to use the Party of Reforms and Development which is mutually related with Aden Duale who suffered the wrath of the president in his mission to clear the mess in Jubilee.

It's now clear that the Deputy is not taking the back seat admist the ongoing political drama and allowing the twist to cut short his dreams in leading the country come 2022. The Deputy and his key allies however, have not yet decided to resign as this will call for a by-election but still recognise Uhuru Kenyatta as their party leader. They have however asked for democracy.
