Family of a Minor who was Killed in Rachuonyo South Demands Justice for Their Kin

The family of an 11-year-old minor who was killed at Nduga village in Kachien North Location of Rachuonyo South Sub County appealed to police officers to hasten the investigations into the death of their daughter.

The family of the girl identified as Noel Adhiambo, a class four pupil at Kosele Community Christian Center is now living in pain after the mysterious death of the minor which occurred on Friday last week.

The minor was reported to have been killed by a form one boy in the area over unknown reason and later dumped her body into a maize plantation.

According to the mother of the deceased Christine Awino, the minor together with her elder sister identified as Judith Atieno left home on Friday at around 10am when they were going to graze animals in the area and were approached by a boy who started to insult them over unknown reason.

Awino further narrated that the boy went back to their home and called his brother a form one student who came armed with stones and astick and started assaulting the two but Judith escaped leaving behind her sister (deceased) with the two boys.

She said that the boy dragged the minor inside a maize plantation where it is alleged that the minor went missing only to be found murdered and her body dumped in a maize plantation last Sunday evening.

The family is now appealing to the police to speed up their investigations into the matter for justice to prevail to the family members.

"I want to urge the police to hasten their investigations into my daughter death, we want justice," Awino said.

Confirming the incident to journalists, Rachuonyo South Sub-county Polices Esau Ochorokodi said that the matter has already been handed over to the area DCI who is moving on with their investigation saying they will ensure that the suspects who committed the heinous act are apprehended.
