Activist Boniface Mwangi has taken a swipe at Law Society of Kenya president Nelson following his recent statement on the conviction of Sirisia member of parliament Hon John Welukhe.

Through a tweet on Friday morning, the activist told off Havi's sentiments that insinuated the troubled lawmaker might have been fraudulently convicted.

He said it was unrealistic for a person of his calibre to cry foul after Walukhe was sentenced harshly given that he was successfully prosecuted and found guilty.

Havi in his earlier statement had claimed Hon Welukhe and his co-accused Grace Wakhungu might have been wrongly convicted given the circumstances surrounding their case.He further urged Kenyans to stop celebrating the conviction.

"John Waluke and Grace Wakhungu contracted with NCPB. NCBP breached the contract. Arbitrator ordered payment. Award was enforced by High Court. NCPB lost before High Court and Court of Appeal and paid the decree. How can that be a crime? Do not celebrate fraudulent convictions,"the LSK president earlier claimed.

Kenyans too were were not left behind, here are some of their reactions to Havi's sentiments;

"@NelsonHavi is on record asking all and sundry to obey court orders. How can he then so harshly criticize this finding? There are legal avenues to register his displeasure .."

"Listen to this idiot guys. So which maize did they deliver?You can’t collude with corrupt officials inside NCPB to con the taxpayers and get away with it? Justice have to be served one way or another.Those dealing with rogue govt officials should be careful next time."

"Why didn't you take your silly arguments in court. Or are you one of the crooked counsels who benefited from this loot??. @DCI_Kenya should do further investigations. This loot benefited more people."

Havi seems to have benefited from the loot and has to defend his masters.

Am very disappointed, reading such a reckless tweet from a man of Nelson Havi's status in judicial circle. I expected him to shout the loudest,in excitement for the justice to public coffers...!
