A few days after bidding the goodbye, Betty Kyalo started throwing hints about what her next move would be sparking plenty of speculations among Kenyans with even some people saying she might open her own media house.

It turns out that the anxiously awaited bounce back commitment wasn't a media house or anything to do with the media business but rather personal care.

On the Saturday of June 27th, Betty Kyalo finally revealed to Kenyans her new salon which is located at Kilimani in Nairobi.

Calling it Flair by Betty, the TV queen said that her beauty center will offer salon, barber and massage services which she says won't be to high-end people only.

At her launch, Betty had former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's wife, mama Ida Odinga grace over the ceremony which might actually hint at the clientele she was targeting.

It's from the pictures of her launch that I remembered the launch of Vera Sidika's parlor on June 2018 at Western Heights, Westlands in Nairobi as well.

If you look at the two scenarios, you'll note some distinction between the two launches/businesses. Below are the pictures;

I think you can clearly note some differences in the target market by the two beauty shops even just from location to the people who graced over their launches.

Even though Betty Kyalo says that her business is open to anyone and everyone, it's evident that she's mainly targeting the mature, middle edged, financially stable, married and family ladies among others

Basically, she's taken the salon to the residential suburb because it's there where people who would like to have a relaxed experience during their hair care sessions away from the busy city will be easily tapped.

Vera Sidika on the other hand seemed to have mainly targeted the young, verile, urban and trendy/flossy ladies will her beauty parlour cum spa.
