Mwangathia ward member of county assembly Hon Mbijiwe has condemned Jubilee's dictatorial tendencies within Meru County Assembly. He argues that the party is interfering with the other member's undertakings. Jubilee party is forcing even Members of county assembly elected as independent candidates to follow instructions from Jubilee leadership.
Mbijiwe explains that the office Of the majority whip is intimidating all members of Meru County assembly. The party is trying to colonize all the other parties within Meru County assembly. Mbijiwe asserts that Jubilee wants to punish the members from other political parties including those elected as independent candidates.
According to Hon Mbijiwe, Jubilee is breaching assembly's standing orders that govern political parties' conduct in the assembly. Jubilee wants to intimidate other parties in the County assembly. They have decided to punish even the independent members of the county assembly.
This comes at a time when Jubilee party leadership in national politics is being reshuffled through the elimination of deviant members in the party leadership. The last casualty was majority leader Aden Duale. Hon Duale was serving his second term as majority leader in the National Assembly. He was voted out and replaced by Kipipiri constituency member of parliament Amos Kimunya.
The leader of the majority in the senate Hon Murkomen, deputy speaker in the senate Kithure Kindiki, and Jubilee whip Kihika Kimani were axed and replaced with more loyal members.
