Ghanaian artist and lyricist Martin King Arthur is prominently known as Kofi Kinaata is a young man in his late 20s, brought up in Efiekuma a sub of Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana.
He was naturally introduced to a Christian home with the dad being a minister. He spent practically 50% of his life in Takoradi starting with his fundamental level education to his tertiary training at Takoradi Technical Institute where he studied building and construction.
While growing up he had an enthusiasm for football so he was playing football close by singing to engage his companions. He got into music completely after he injured his leg one day on the field when a companion of his proposed to him to pay attention to music after his leg healed.

He never considers that advice until one day he went on a Kasahara show on Melody FM in Takoradi then he began singing freely. An abridged English version of the lyrics to the song has been adopted by the English department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology for a Level 200 semester course (English Literature 263).
The song became Avram Grant’s favorite Ghanaian track as at the time it was released. He told Bola Ray in his last interview before he retired as a Ghana Black Stars Coach.

One major collaboration that blew him to the mainstream and limelight was “Odo Pa” by Castro which featured Kinaata and Ghana Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.
