Everything powerful in this world has its own secret. The phones and the cars that we use have their secret; the one who knows how to unlock their secrets make good use of these things.

Good and powerful tools become useless in the hands of a person who does not know how to use it. Prayer is no exception; it also comes with its own principles and secrets.

A lot of people pray everyday. Going down on our knees to pray is not the issue. The issue is how to unlock and use the secrets of prayer to get what we ask of God.

Some people have prayed so much that they think God does not exist because they do not get answers to their prayers.

Why Prayers Get Delayed or Not Answered

1. Daniel 10:12 tells us that God answers our prayers the moment we are done praying. But the problem is that our answers suffer from a lot of demonic attacks in the spiritual realms. Demons hate to see us happy, so they do all that they can to stop our joy, and one way they do that is to hinder our prayers.

2. We do not get answers to our prayers because we do not ask in faith. Doubt steals our answers. Our confidence to getting the needed answers to our prayers dies immediately we begin doubting in our heart. God is not a doubting God; He is a faith-God.

3. James 4:3 says that we do not receive answers to our prayers because we ask wrongly. James is telling us that God does not answer selfish prayers.

4. We pray for Christ's sake. Prayers are not to be made to seek help for Christ. Praying for Christ's sake will not get the job done.

Unlocking The Secrets And Receiving Answers

1. Use the name of Jesus in your prayers. Do not pray through or by the name of Jesus. Jesus said we should ask the Father in His name not in the name of God. The name of Jesus is the name that is above every name in heaven and on earth.

At the mention of the name Jesus, diseases will flee, poverty will pack its luggage and leave your life for good. God has given us the authority to use the most powerful name ever. Make good use of the name of Jesus in your prayers.(Philippians 2:10)

The apostles of Christ used His name to cleanse the lepers and to heal the sick and to receive help. (Acts 3:6, 16:18)

2. Believing and receiving go hand in hand. Mark 11:24 says that when we pray, we should believe God for the answer and we shall have whatever things we asked of Him. Our believing must mix up with our faith and actions. If you believe one thing and you act another thing, know that you will not receive; because your actions do not match your faith.

James 1:6 tells us that we do not receive because we do not have confidence even in our approach to God, and we also ask without faith. Faith without deeds is dead. When we finish praying we should have the boldness that we have what we asked of the Father in the Jesus' name. We should be excited that we have received answers to our prayers.

3. Prayers that are made based on the word of God makes power available. When we pray God's words back to Him, His angels make sure that His words are done (Psalm 103:21). Angels are to listen to the word of God and do them.

God wants us to be joyful. He is ever ready to give us what we ask of Him. God is a good God; He will not give snakes to His children when they ask Him for bread (Matthew 7:7 - 11)

Turn these secrets loose in your prayer life and your life will never be the same.
