EBONY STILL REIGNS AFTER DEATH: No Female Artiste can be compared to Ebony.

Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng widely known as Ebony Reigns was a Ghanaian Dancehall artiste known for her hit songs Poison and Kupe. She was discovered by Bullet. Ebony was born on 16th February,1997 and died in the year 2018 at Bechem Government Hospital.

Ebony is also known as Nana Hemaa by her close relatives in Dansoman a suburb of Accra. Her parents are Nana Poku Kwarteng and Beatrice Oppong Martin. She was raised in the urban areas of Accra but hailed from the Brong Ahafo region. She started her basic education at Seven Great Princess Academy in Dansoman,Accra,followed by a high school education at Methodist Girls High School of the Eastern Region,Ghana, though she did not graduate. She came out with her first single *Dancefloor* in December 2015 with a video and audio release. The song became a hit which gave her a nomination for the *unsung* category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.

Ebony was killed instantly in a collision on Febbruary 8,2018 whilst returning from Sunyani to Accra after a visit to her mother.Her long time friend Franklina Yaa Nkansah Kuri and soldier Atsu Vindee were also killed in the fatal accident.


There is no doubt that even after the death of Ebony she still reigns in the heart of many.

Dr. Lawrence also spoke about how some musicians and businesses were taking advantage of Ebony Reigns death to make profits.

Irrespective of these, fans still seem to have love for the reigning queen.
