This follows an announcement by President Akuffo-Addo on Thursday, February 28, 2019, of the appointment of ministers and deputy ministers to the six newly created regions. This didn't go well with alot of citizens when an addition of 13 new ministers were appointed giving a total of 123 ministers. This caused an uproar by citizens on social media. They claim countries with population 10 times than that of Ghana do not have as many ministers us we do.
