Earlier this week, some unknown people illegally demolished part of a residential building on the compound of the Nigerian High Commission, in Accra, Ghana which created a highly tensed atmosphere between the two sister countries, with some Nigerians recommending strict measures or sanctions against Ghana. This demolition was condemned by the Foreign Affairs Ministries of both countries, whilst the government of Ghana has now promised to rebuild the demolished facility.

Mr. Pratt admitted that the assurance by government of Ghana to repair the demolished building is a step in the right direction and further heaped praises on the Nigerian president by saying "In the light of this, I will like to commend very highly the President of Nigeria, His Excellency Buhari who is dousing the flames and insisting that there is no point in Ghana and Nigeria going to war over one building. I think the President Buhari has taken the most appropriate sensible logical steps to attempt to douse the flames as it were."
