On Friday, the 26th day of June, 2020, a court in Accra ruled against Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central in a defamation suit brought against the charismatic and firebrand MP by Mr. Kweku Baako.

In delivering the judgement, the court ordered Honourable Kennedy Agyapong to retract the defamatory comments and apologize within thirty days. He was also fined an amount of 100 thousand Ghana Cedis as compensation for the plaintiff as well as legal cost of 30,000 Ghana Cedis. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

Mr. Baako, in a response to a question by Samson Lardy Anyeneni on News File, he stated that he would use the fine of ¢100K for charity.

Now, imagine Mr. Kweku Baako walking to Kennedy Agyapong to ask for this amount of money for charity. It would have been impossible but since this is a ruling of the court, the vociferous member of Parliament has no choice than to pay the money to Mr.Kweku Baako to embark on this noble course.

Remember, as a Moslem, almsgiving is one of the Cardinal pillars of his faith so it comes as no surprise that he has decided to use the money to help the poor and the vulnerable in our society. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

God bless Mr. Kweku Baako for his kind intentions but should he also bless the source of the money?
