The talented teen footballer tragically died at a Scots beauty spot. The young striker was from Scotland and the last team he played for is Bellshill Athletic.

Liam Scott passed away after falling into the water at the Falls of Clyde, near Lanark, on the evening of 19th June 2020.

Kossi Koudagba (2 October 1995 – 18 June 2020) was a Togolese professional footballer who played as a striker for ASC Kara of the Togolese Championnat National and the Togo national teamHe played for Espoir FC Tsévié in the 2016–17 Togolese 2nd Division. Since then, he has played with ASCK in the Togolese Championnat National.

In November 2018, he was called up to the Togo National Team for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria. Koudagba made his international debut in July 2019, featuring for the full duration of a 2020 African Nations Championship qualifier with Benin in Porto-Novo.

He died on 18 June 2020 from a short illness at the age of 24.

He was the first professional footballer to die from coronavirus. Deibert Frans Roman Guzman, a 25 year-old player for Universitario del Beni, died in May 2020. The footballer was living with his uncle and father who have both also died few days before his own death.

Terrible news for a footballer who ended up playing in the age group category sides for Bolivia and who almost joined Nacional Potosi, one of the most important clubs in the country.

According to Bolivian press sources, the player, who was playing in a lower league, lived in the area of Paititi with his father, Belisario Roman and his uncle Luis Carmelo Roman, manager of Deportivo Perejique.

Michael Durkin, 25, died when a farm vehicle driven by one of his good friends rolled down a farm bank after dark in Auckland.

It’s thought Michael Durkin and his friend were hunting, as there was a rifle with a scope found at the scene of the fatal incident north-west of Auckland.

Emergency services were called to the Peak Rd property, near Helensville, about 10.45pm on the day of the incident.

It’s understood a two-seater farm vehicle, with a canopy and a tray, had been driving along a fence line on a ridge when it rolled about 30 metres down a bank, trapping Durkin underneath.

Football fraternities in Nigeria were thrown into mourning as Nigerian National League side Bendel Insurance announced the shocking death of their goalkeeper Umar Ahmad Jalingo.

Umar was said to have died in Gombe after a brief illness.

Before his untimely death, Umar Jalingo was hospitalized at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe, where he was treated after a serious illness.

He got better in the hospital and was discharged after doctors certified him fit to go home.

The goalkeeper was welcomed back home by his family members with happiness on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

But unfortunately, Umar Ahmad Jalingo died 24 hours later after failing to wake up from his sleep.

However, a statement release made by Bendel Insurance media officer Kehinde Osagiede described the death of Umar Jalingo as a great loss.”It is unfortunate that we have lost one of our players Umar Ahmad Jalingo and the club are in pain and sorrow for the shocking demise as we pray that God should give the family, friends the fortitude to bear the loss,” Osagiede stated in a statement.

Umar Ahmad Jalingo died at the age of 27 and the deceased left behind a wife Hajia Zuleha and four children who are living in Gombe.

George and Emmanuel, who were traveling with other team players, died on the spot during the accident.

George died at the scene after the vehicle he was traveling collided with an articulated stationery vehicle along the Onitsha-Agbor-Benin road. George was 26 years old when he died.
