Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich...

The word of God is a gold ore that has not been tapped into by many people in the world. It is a pure refined gold that makes people of no substance honourable and excellent. It shapes the thought pattern of an ordinary man: raising him from zero to hero. It costs; so people who place high premium on it, win its offer.

Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: far thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Isaiah 42:21The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Until you place value on the word, you have devalued yourself. God's eyes and unwavering protection go for those who value His word above everything. When you read and meditate upon it every time, and ensure that everything about you is aligned with the word, you become a living wonder, excellent in all things.

Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

The Exodus is confirming that anybody who also places premium on the word of God, will be valued by God. It is a sign you respect the word.

Many people don't value the word: they have replaced the word with religious and sanctimonious activities.

Another thing that shows you have value for God's word is your ability to retain it in your mind and heart.

David was the baddest guy in the Bible but he placed high premium on the word So God was always protecting him. On the other hand, Saul committed only one evil but God displaced him. Develop time for God’s Word. Use the word to refine and define yourself.
