The opposition National Democratic Congress NDC and the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP have locked horns on social media over Supreme court's declaration and victory.

As the opposition claimed Victory over attaining the right to use existing voter's identification card as means of authentication for the upcoming exercise, the ruling government is also celebrating the green light given to the Electoral Commission to compile a New register which was challenged by the opposition.

Many have also read meaning into the New Patriotic Party's jubilation because the challenge was not between the NDC and NPP but rather the NDC versus the Electoral Commission.

The National Democratic Congress had earlier amended their case excluding the challenge of the New voter's register compilation and sticked to the use of the old voter's register to be used as a document for the exercise.

The Electoral Commission hadn't officially responded to the verdict but the National Democratic Congress is in wild jubilation.
