From what was reported the man said he was given 500 Naira by some people he didn't know and was instructed to disrupt the protest by the same people who drove him to the location where he was caught.

In reaction to this @Ajayilkponmwosa believed the miscreant was lying and said this: "I think he's lying about the 500. This grown person can't tell me he doesn't know money. Atleast he buys something from the market." But @nelsed0s he was quickly reply by telling him that he doesn't know the Level of poverty the government have subjected the country to."

While @Arewamiemie said: "This is what the system have reduced Nigerian youths to, y'all here will be wondering how can he risk it all for 500 naira? But the truth is this has been the aim of the government since the formation of nigerian to render youths poor and make us their slaves... He should treated."

Meanwhile in Lagos governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has declared a state wide 24-hour curfew which started by 4pm after some suspected hoodlums burnt down a police station.

The protesters see the chaos caused by the miscreants as a strategy used by the government to bring unrest to the citizens so that all will see the need for the use of force in driving the protesters out of the streets.

Below is Governor Sanwo-Olu's message to protesters and Lagosians after he had declared the 24-hour curfew.
